As we got off the train, thf station appeared as dark as somewhere like paddington or victoria, but then we walked out into the station proper and it all opened up to an amazing building!
You may be able to see from the pics, stu was in awe! (so was I, but no-one took a picture of me in that state!)
A very short walk from Union station to our residence for the next 3 days. A lovely basement apartment owned by a very friendly ex Chilean landlady called ingrid.
With a great coffee shop almost immediately opposite that does great coffee, hot chocolate and has free wifi! I think we might be visiting a lot!!
Off to go up the Washington monument at 4pm (pre booked tickets!) so gotta drag ourselves away from the wifi and get on with some sightseeing!! Sun has come out now too, as soon as we stepped outside of the station! Should get some good pictures!
