Up the Washington monument

No strollers allowed so Katy into her sling, stroller parked by a flag pole under the secure eye of a park policeman and off we went, up in the elevator for the 71 second journey to the top!

Katy was very excited and was kicking her arms and legs around and melting even more American hearts!!

At the top we exited the elevator to look around at the views to the 4 poles at our leisure. Pictures show back along the national mall to the east, and the White house to the north.
President wasn't at home at that point tho!
Katy got hungry so a snack on the move before back in the elevator with the charismatic Pierre (whose been in several movies apparently as a minor actor!). Down past the many donated stones from states and nations (including Wales!) and back with feet on the ground.
Time for a roll around for Katy! See the Capitol building in the distance behind her? She's loving it!
