After the relatively painless flight (who needs a 60 film and tv selection when u have a little one and a map of the sky for daddy!), it was almost as easy on arrival.
Katy fell asleep wuth about 1.5 hours of the flight ti go. (5.30 pm usa time). So she slept thru landing with no ear probs.
Her buggy was at the top of the ramp as we disembarked. So in she went and off we went. Thru the spotless, smart, large well organised customs hall. Fingerprints scanned (no not katy's!!) then bags out on the carrousel. The only hiccup was finding the right place to get the shuttle bus to the hotel!
We found it after asking a friendly cop that just happened to pull up, blues and twos ablazing after pulling a car ovef, right where we were standing with another lost English couple at the wrong 'no.5 stop!'
Katy in sling, all aboard the shuttle bus and 3 mins and we were in the foyer sampling complimentary apple cider and sickly doughnuts. (We left the doughnuts!)
Good corner room overlooking the airport. A bit of a stale smoky smell even tho the hotel is fully no smoking, but this disappeared once we got the air-con blasting, refreshing the air!
Katy still zonko, flat in her pushchair so a brief visit downstairs to the sports bar for a refreshing bud and pesto chicken ciabatta for stu, gin for me and use of the free wifi!!
Well hopefully Katy will have a bit more of a snooze before we get up properly. Raining like a hoolie outside apparently. I can't c that from the extremely comfortable 'Marriott super sleep bed'!
